Honda Hopes To Destroy Global Rallycross With Insane Civic Coupe

Honda will be entering the 2016 Red Bull Global Rallycross season with a new Civic Coupe. Based loosely off of the production variant of the Civic Coupe, the rally version has been given a host of performance parts from Olsbergs MSE and Honda Performance Development. The end result is an all-wheel-drive beast that boasts 600 hp and the ability to get to 60 mph in 1.9 seconds, which would embarrass even the most expensive supercars. Sebastian Eriksson and 2014 series champion Joni Wiman will pilot the powerful machine. These drivers will have to be brave as the stages will push them and the 600-hp Civic Coupe to the limit with massive jumps and difficult terrain. “ Global Rallycross is a seriously extremely racing, and it’s a terrific platform to showcase the new Civic Coupe to an enthusiast, performance-minded young audience,” stated Nick Lee, National Advertising Manager, American Honda Motor Co., Inc. “We won’t encourage our customers to take 70-foot jumps on the street, but we will use this platform to tell people about all the incredible technology and performance capabilities of our new Civic Coupe.” With 600 hp, the ability to get to 60 mph in the blink of an eye and the parts to withstand the demands of rallycross, the new Civic Coupe has its sights set on taking down the competition. And rightfully so, as the new 2016 Honda Civic is a great platform for a racing car. Award-Winning Redesigned New Civic is Fun to Drive As one of the best selling compact cars of all time, the new Civic has large shoes to fill. To ensure the sedan is just as competitive, the automaker has pulled out all of the stops with the car. For 2016, the Civic has been redesigned and features a stylish exterior, more powerful and fuel-efficient engines, as well as a sportier ride. Thanks to all of these changes, the new Civic was recently named the 2016 North American Car of the Year. While the rally version of the Civic Coupe puts out 600 hp, the road-going Civic has performance that everyone can enjoy. The new sedan comes with two engine and two transmission choices. The base engine is a 2.0-liter four-cylinder that puts out 158 hp, while the range-topping 1.8-liter turbocharged engine makes 174 hp. Both engines can be matched to a 6-speed manual transmission or a continuously variant automatic transmission. With two peppy engines and smooth transmissions, the Civic can be sporty and comfortable. Thanks to a well-tuned chassis, the Civic is fun to drive. However, the compact sedan also has the latest technology features to ensure that its occupants are comfortable and safe at all times. Thanks to interior features like Bluetooth, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, occupants are always connected. 2016 Honda Accord: The Best Just Got Better

Honda has come to dominate the midsize sedan class and the Accord has long been one of the torchbearers of the family. Affordable, consistent, and reliable, the Accord offers the trust we all want but rarely find on the road. Consider this: In being named to Car and Driver’s famed " 10Best" list for 2016, the Accord has now been nominated a whopping 30 times, the most of any model in the history of the magazine. For the latest model year, Honda rolled out both a sedan and coupe Accord, giving consumers even more options for an already versatile model. Both have an available V6 engine with 278 horsepower and 258 lb.-ft. of torque and each offer the choice of an automatic or manual transmission. Apple® CarPlay and Android Auto capabilities found their way into the 2016 model year of the Accord, and not one but two display screens provide all the convenient technology we’ve come to rely upon in our lives and expect in our cars. With a number of upgrades and a little bit of redesign, Honda remains one car-length ahead of the competition. The Sedan: Have Some Style With Your Comfort Well into its ninth generation, the 2016 Honda Accord sedan comes available in five trims and embodies everything a four-door sedan should be. Up to 37 Highway MPG 103.2 cubic feet of passenger volume and 15.8 cubic feet of cargo space Trims include LX, Sport, EX, EX-L and Touring Coupe: Where Performance Meets Luxury Those who prefer a little more driving experience might opt to squeeze into the the two-door coupe and its sportier feel and performance. Available in LX-S, EX, EX-L and Touring Continuously variable transmission with paddle shifters available at three trim levels Up to 34 Highway MPG The Hybrid Hiatus Honda turned plenty of heads in 2015 with its Hybrid Accord model. The 50 city MPG was so popular with consumers in fact that Honda has halted production of the model for a year while it moves the operation of the vehicle from Ohio to a Honda plant in Japan. The 2017 Honda Accord Hybrid will be released in mid-2016 and is expected to include improvements in both performance and fuel efficiency. Improving upon the 2015 Hybrid won’t be easy as the model came standard with an Eco Assist System, an electronic continuously variable transmission, and a MacPherson strut front suspension. There’s always something happening with Honda, and if you have questions, you know who to turn to.

Asheboro Honda Stresses Importance of Regular Oil Changes

Oil changes are a part of car maintenance that you know you need to pay attention to, but it is so easy to forget or overlook. It’s fairly obvious when you have a flat tire. Likewise, if your dog is running away at your squealing brakes, it’s easy to tell that it is time to take in your vehicle for maintenance. However, you can’t “hear” that oil needs to be changed like you do for other obvious car problems. For that reason, it’s important to know how to check your oil and when to take in your car to get an oil change. Why Regular Oil Changes are Necessary A car’s engine is a system of moving metallic parts. When the parts come in contact with one another, they create friction. The friction from parts moving against each other generate lots of heat. This unwanted heat can cause individual engine components to to fuse together, warp, or break. Oil helps lubricate engine parts, making them slide against one another with ease and reducing heat. That’s why it is important to maintain a good engine oil level. In addition to making sure you have enough oil in your engine, you have to check on the condition of the oil already in there. Oil can deteriorate over time, losing its ability to lubricate the engine parts. If an unpleasant smell comes from your engine or you notice the oil becoming dirty, these are clear indications for an oil change. If you ignore your engine oil, contaminants and sludge will form in the crankcase, eat metal parts, collect water, and worse. Checking Your Own Oil It’s easy to check your own oil to see if you need to either add oil or change the oil entirely. A dipstick helps you check to see if the oil needs to be changed. First, make sure your engine has been turned off for at least ten minutes. Pop your hood and locate the dipstick. Pull out the dipstick and wipe it across a lint-free cloth. Then place the dipstick back in the reservoir and pull it out. Check for an oily film on the dipstick’s end. Note the level and color of oil. If the oil level is low, you might need to add more oil. If the oil is a clear golden brown colo r, your oil is in good shape. If it’s a silty dark brown or black with floating particle s, it’s time to bring your car in for service. When to Schedule an Oil Change at Asheboro Honda You may find varying information about the best time to bring in your car for an oil change, but that is because your driving habits and your car’s age can make a difference. In general, you should get your oil changed every 3,000-10,000 miles, aiming for every 5,000 miles. Your driving habits matter quite a bit when determining how often to get an oil change. If you take your Honda Pilot or Odyssey on long weekend road trips to sports tournaments or outdoor adventures, you’ll have different needs than if you use your Honda Civic for short, local errands during the week. If you have a long commute in your Honda Accord, you may put more miles on it and need to change your oil more frequently than if you mainly use your CR-Z on the weekends for sporty Sunday drives.
